inspiration: native line

On the hunt for weaving and tapestry inspiration this weekend, I came across Seattle-based artist Justine Ashbee's stunning Native Line - a collection of one off woven pieces, jewelry, hanging light sculptures and wall hangings inspired by her time in the desert of the Southwest.  Each of the pieces is woven using precious metals, golds, and silvers to shimmer and catch the light.  I love the geometric shapes and that fringe.

Native Line is both an online store and a blog style feed curated by Ashbee, where she says she posts:

"Imagery to remind you what planet you live on, imagery to remind you of your origins, inherent gifts, and natural impulses to create, ritualize, worship, wonder, envision, produce, and manifest....The aim is to swim alongside current & contemporary designers, artists, and shamans who are also dedicated to pulsing the rhythm of life through their work in patterns that speak of the primal nature of life - what is native to the spirit in all of life."
